Is there any “Blog Police”? You know, someone keeping an eye on food blogs? I would sure wanna dodge them … may be it is an offence against food blogging norms to openly dislike a food item on a food blog. TBH there are some ingredients I don’t like and cauliflower is one of them. I find the aroma pungent and flavour too overpowering and yet I buy it because it is pretty to look at.
My kids had it with carrot, cucumber and apple slices and actually enjoyed it …. and so did I! Ooo I tried it with some duqqa too.
ingredients: ( about 1 1/2 cups)
2 cups cauliflower, chopped and steamed
1 cup coconut milk, unsweetened
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1/8 tsp salt
1/8 tsp white pepper powder
pinch of ground nutmeg
fresh parsley or coriander (optional)
method:
Combine steamed cauliflower, coconut milk and garlic powder in a medium pan and cook over medium low flame until all the milk is absorbed, about 4-5 minutes. Remove from flame; add salt, pepper and nutmeg. Stir well and let it cool to room temperature. Transfer the mixture into a blender/ food processor/ wet mill and blend till smooth and creamy. Garnish with fresh coriander or parsley if you like.
